September 20, 2012 United Way of the Midlands Day of Action
Thursday, September 20, 2012
2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Join United Way of the Midlands and hundreds of volunteers Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. for a community Day of Action, sponsored by Lexington Medical Center.
Keep the Midlands Beautiful volunteers will meet at the Keep the Midlands Beautiful sculpture on the Columbia side of Riverfront Park. The group will divide into two in order to work on both the West Columbia and Columbia side of the park. The project will include clean up and beautification - some weeding, planting and litter pickup. Volunteers are asked to bring any gardening tools needed. All of this project will be outdoors.
ALL volunteers are encouraged to attend United Way’s campaign kickoff following the Day of Action from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at EdVenture Children’s Museum. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their family for a free night exploring the museum and celebrating their volunteer work!
