Fuss, Karen (Coastal Carolina University)
Mentor for: Rain gardens, rain barrels, water quality, stormwater and watershed education
Karen Fuss has been an Environmental Educator at the Burroughs and Chapin Center for Marine & Wetland Studies at Coastal Carolina University since 2005. Karen earned an A.S. from Richard Bland College in 1986, B.S. and M.A. Ed. with Emphasis in Marine Science from the College of William and Mary in 1988 and 1993, respectively. Karen’s major responsibilities include developing, implementing and leading marine science and environmental education programs for precollege (K-12) students and public groups. Additionally, she serves as Coordinator of the Coastal Waccamaw Stormwater Education Consortium, a regional collaboration helping local governments meet federal requirements for stormwater education, outreach and public involvement. Her areas of expertise include field workshops and outreach programs centered on marine science, watershed science and/or stormwater pollution topics.
