Mentor for: Recycling
Recycling has been a passion of mine since I was on the Shandon Neighborhood council that lobbied the city to start a recycling program. I have worked with several Richland One schools writing grants to start or expand programs over the last two years. I have written grants for AC Moore, Hand, Crayton, Dreher, and Brockman. These schools have all received grants from Palmetto Pride for their recycling programs. I also worked with the SC Department of Education on a pilot project at Hand with a compostable tray program. I hope to work on many more recycling projectsfor District One in the future.
