Marlow, Diane
Mentor for: Composting, recycling, reuse and environmental art
Formerly with S.C. DHEC’s Office of Recycling, Diane is now a volunteer and is Lexington County’s Green Step Schools Coordinator. She teaches an integrated approach to gardening, including backyard composting and co-founded S.C. DHEC’s Smart Gardening program. She also has experience in recycling, reusing materials and trash-to-treasure environmental art. After graduating from LaGrange College in Georgia with a BA in History and Psychology, Diane taught kindergarten, third, seventh and ninth grades. Diane has taken advanced courses in non-profit management, lead glass design, gardening and painting. She is a life long member of the Girl Scouts of America. She and husband, Dan, have six children and eight grandchildren.
