Thomas, Beth (North Inlet-Winyah Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve)

Beth is a marine educator with the University of South Carolina’s Baruch Institute for Marine and Coastal Sciences and the North Inlet-Winyah Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR). She has a BS in Marine Science from USC-Coastal (now Coastal Carolina University). She serves as a core education provider for the Coastal Waccamaw Stormwater Education Consortium, Chairperson of Keep Georgetown Beautiful, and is a member of both the National and South Carolina Marine Educators Associations. She works with K-12 students as well as the general public sharing the importance of estuaries and healthy water, and enjoys helping people better understand, appreciate and protect our natural world.
