Walsh, Mary (Upstate Forever)
Mentor for: Water Quality, Water Conservation, Green Building (10-county upstate region only)
As an Urban Rivers Project Associate for Upstate Forever, Mary Elza Walsh works on initiatives to improve water quality in the ten-County Upstate region of South Carolina. Mary was educated in civil engineering at the Cooper Union in New York City, where she conducted research in the sustainable management of water resources. Mary has experience both in green building and low-impact development techniques such as rainwater harvesting, rain gardens, green roofs and water conservation programs.
