Curbside Recycling
- Paper: newspapers and inserts, magazines (less than 1" thick), corrugated cardboard
- Glass: none
- Metal: aluminum, steel and aerosol cans
- Plastic: #1 and #2 bottles and jugs-- check the bottom of the item for the number; only bottles and jugs (neck skinnier than base) are accepted (i.e. yogurt and other similar containers are not recyclable.)

Two Richland County Locations:
- Lower Richland Drop-off Center, 10531 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia (Hours: Monday - Saturday 8:00am to 7:00pm; Sunday 12:30 to 6:00pm)
- Richland County C&D Landfill, 1070 Caughman Road North, off Monticello Road, Columbia (Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 6:30pm; Saturday 12:30 to 5:30pm.)
Proof of residency is required.
What they accept:
- Paper: newspaper and inserts, magazines, corrugated cardboard (landfill only accepts colored and white office paper, mixed grade paper and green-bar computer paper)
- Glass: clear, green and brown
- Metal: aluminum, steel and aerosol cans
- Plastic: #1 and #2 bottles and jugs--check the bottom of the item for the number; only bottles and jugs (neck skinnier than base) are accepted (i.e. yogurt and other similar containers are not recyclable.)
- Electronic waste: old computers, monitors, fax machines and other office equipment (TVs, radios, and VCRS are not accepted)
- Tires (landfill only): up to 5 tires without rims
- Used motor oil
