How to Properly Dispose of Paint
While there are occasional events, unfortunately, there are not currently any regular programs for recycling paint in the Midlands.
To avoid buying too much, use a paint calculator to determine how much paint you need before you go to the store:
If you are left with extra paint, see if a friend or neighbor can use it.
If you must dispose of leftover paint, pour some cat litter or sawdust into the paint can and leave it out to dry. Once dry, dispose of the can in your household trash.
