Keep the Midlands Beautiful is now accepting applications for the 2012-2013 Student Advisory Board and Student Advisory Board Leadership Council. Click here for Expectations and How to Apply.

The Keep the Midlands Beautiful Student Advisory Board and its Leadership Council are made up of area high school students who want to help improve the community and environment and have a great time doing it! The KMB Student Advisory Board expands participation in beautification, waste reduction, recycling, and litter prevention activities among area high school students.

During the 2009-2012 school years, the Keep the Midlands Beautiful Student Advisory Board worked to help the Midlands kick the plastic bag habit. Advisory Board members developed group projects designed to reduce the use of plastic shopping bags and increase awareness of reusable bags, while gaining valuable leadership skills and community service experience.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of community service events focused on making the Midlands a cleaner, greener and more beautiful community. Visit the Keep the Midlands Beautiful Events Calendar for more information on volunteer opportunities and upcoming events.
