The Keep the Midlands Beautiful Student Advisory Board is made up of area high school students who want to help improve the community and environment and have a great time doing it!  The KMB Student Advisory Board expands participation in beautification, waste reduction, recycling, and litter prevention activities among area high school students.

During the 2009-2010 school year, the Keep the Midlands Beautiful Student Advisory Board is working to help the Midlands kick the plastic bag habit.  Advisory Board members are developing group projects designed to reduce the use of plastic shopping bags and increase awareness of reusable bags, while gaining valuable leadership skills and community service experience.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of community service events focused on making the Midlands a cleaner, greener and more beautiful community. Visit the Keep the Midlands Beautiful Events Calendar for more information on volunteer opportunities and upcoming events.

In late March 2010, we will begin recruiting students for the 2010-2011 Student Advisory Board, so please check back then for application information.
